30th Anniversary Celebration |
Since its establishment in 1990, the flagship Student Summer Employment Program (SSEP) has provided grade 11 female students the unique opportunity to work in paid summer science, engineering, and medical research assistant, and science promotion jobs. In addition, participants benefited from valuable networking opportunities, personal development activities, and workplace safety training and tours.
Over 1,000 young women from all parts of the province were able to seize the opportunities that helped to inform budding career aspirations as well as to generate income. Many alumnae pursued post-secondary education in technical fields and now enjoy rewarding careers, including positions of significant responsibility, here and around the world.
After 30 years of success, it’s time to celebrate! Past participants, supervisors, administrators, and supporters of SSEP are invited to the 30th SSEP Anniversary Celebration. Please join WISE NL members to reminisce, reconnect, share your story, and imagine the future in celebration of the success and legacy of this innovative initiative.
